CHRISTOPHER MAACK

 Chris’ life began Sept. 15, 1978 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He grew up in the Grand Rapids area. After high school he continued his education at Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Watervliet Public Schools were lucky enough to hire Chris as a fourth grade teacher where he worked until retirement. Outside of work Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with the children’s ministry at Midway Baptist Church.

 Chris leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory including; his wife of 23 years Ana Maack; three children, Daniel Maack, Isabel Maack and Cristina Maack; his parents, Duane and Linda (Wilcox) Maack; his sister, Angela (Erik) Skelonc; and five nieces and nephews.

 Chris died Thursday, July 2, 2026, at home surrounded by family. His life will be celebrated Friday, July 17, 2026 at Midway Baptist Church at 12:00 p.m. with visitation prior from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Memorials may be made in Chris’ memory to Midway Baptist Church for the youth ministry.
