Dana Matthew Durham, 53, of Coloma passed away August 18, 2023, peacefully at his home.
A memorial service celebrating Matt’s life will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where friends may visit beginning at 4 p.m. A celebration of Matt’s life will follow at 377 South Church St. in Coloma. Matt was born in St. Joseph to Jack and Wanda Durham on June 1, 1970. He attended Coloma High School and went on to receive an associate’s degree from Lake Michigan College. He was currently employed at Lindberg MPH in Riverside.
Matt was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was also a huge sports fan, loyal to the Oakland, Los Angeles, Oakland, Las Vegas Raiders, Tony Stewart, and his beloved Michigan Wolverines. Matt enjoyed golfing, bowling, Indy and NASCAR races with his buddies, as well as concerts with his family. Above all Matt loved his daughter Gwen who blessed his life in 2003. He was a loving father to Gwenyth. Matt will be remembered for his sense of humor and a man who truly enjoyed spending time with his friends and especially Gwen.
Matt is survived by his loving daughter Gwenyth Durham, brother Brian Durham, stepmother Janet Durham, aunt Jan, uncle Larry Durham, cousins Amy and Brook, feline companion Muffy, and extended family Blake and Correna as well as a large group of the best friends a man could ask for.
In honor of Matt’s love for Michigan sports the family asks that everyone wear their best maize and blue, The University of Michigan, not to be confused with Michigan State. Huge difference.
Matt was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Wanda; his loving grandparents, Granny and Paw Paw Lewis and Bill and Dorothy Durham; his cousin, Sean Lewis; as well as way too many friends.
