Dennis (Denny) R. Warren Sr., 74, peacefully passed away in the presence of his family on Monday, June 6, 2022.

Denny was born to James and Mary Lou Warren on May 27, 1948 in Caraway, Arkansas. After spending his youth in Arkansas and Florida, the family settled in Aurora, Illinois where he attended High School.

On Dec. 23, 1965, he swore the oath and entered the United States Navy. Denny saw the world and did two tours of duty in Vietnam aboard the Navy Destroyer U.S.S. Waldron. After an honorable discharge from the Navy in 1969, he returned to his family’s new home in Riverside, MI, and there he met his mother’s hairdresser Pat Liles whom he would marry and spend the next 49 years with.

After working a time at New Products Corp in Benton Harbor, he then worked for the Watervliet Paper Company until its final shut down. He went to work for Special-Lite in Decatur, MI where he would retire.

Denny was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Pat (Liles) Warren, parents Mary Lou (Crider) and James Warren, his big brother Kenny Warren, and his best friend and brother-in-law Bob Rotach whom they would enjoy watching Denny’s youngest son Ed at the drag races.

Denny is survived by his sons Randy (Heidi) Warren of Watervliet and Ed Warren of Coloma; sisters Joan Warren of Eau Claire and Lisa (Ted) Douglas of Riverside; granddaughters Kaitlyn Warren of League City, TX, Kylee Warren of Coloma, Kenzie Warren and Kennady Warren both of Watervliet; great-grandson Hudson Schultz, step-grandson Jacob Blentlinger; and many, many nieces and nephews.

A family graveside service will be at a later date.
