Dixie Lee Hauht, 87, formerly of Eau Claire and Coloma, passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Dec. 9, 2022, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Dixie was born in Eau Claire, MI on Feb. 9, 1935; the daughter of Ellis and Agnes Airgood. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1953. She and Louis (Don) Hauht were married on Aug. 25, 1956 and celebrated 63 years together before Don’s passing in 2019. Earlier in her life, Dixie had worked at V-M Corporation for eight years and then at Martin Brothers Mill & Foundry for 20 years before retiring in 1987. After retirement, Dixie and Don would split their time between Eau Claire, Michigan, Homosassa, Florida, and Las Vegas, Nevada. She loved to crochet and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Dixie was preceded in death by her husband Louis (Don) Hauht, her father, Ellis Airgood and mother, Agnes Airgood Schindeldecker, and her stepfather, Virgil “Mike” Schindeldecker.
Dixie is survived by her two daughters, Susan Hauht and Sharon (Steve Littig) Hauht, both of Las Vegas, Nevada.
