Donald Lee Wise Jr., 58, of Beaverdam, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 6, 2022 in Sumter, South Carolina.
Don was born in Chicago, IL on Oct. 19, 1963 to Donald Lee Wise Sr. and Gretchen Ann Wise. He was a 1981 graduate from Coloma High School. His life work was custom cabinetry and home building in Coloma and Virginia. Don’s passion was spending time racing within the Virginia Championship Hare Scramble Series (VCHSS), of which he was a three-time state champion in his class. He was also a champion in the Virginia Cross Country Series (VXCS).
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Lee Wise Sr.
Survivors include his mother Gretchen of Watervliet; his loving wife, Patty; sons, Joshua, Jacob and Joseph (fiancée Haley). He is also survived by his brother, Charles (Teresa) Wise of Hartford; and sisters, Denise (Jeff) Sirk of St. Joseph, MI and Ronda (John) Oakes of Midlothian, VA; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Layla, Lucy, Christian and Colton; many nieces and nephews and friends and family across the country.
