Educational freedom and parents’ rights

With school starting soon, my office has received a large amount of correspondence regarding proposed changes to education policies that present some concerns about the rights of parents in choosing education options for their children. I have always been very supportive of school choice and I believe that parents should be able to decide how best to educate their children. Every child is different and may be more apt to excel in certain learning environments, whether in a public, private, charter, or home school.
