Esther for today

A less-known book of the Bible is the book of Esther. Just after Nehemiah and before Job, it presents a time when the Jewish people were saved from annihilation by their haters, in the seventh century BCE, under the Persian administration of a king, Ahasuerus, or Xerxes. In this account of political intrigue, we also see lessons for the world in which we live today. It’s an interesting read, whatever version of the Bible is used.
