Find God, find hope

If Psalm 42 is read in any version of the Bible it will quickly be discovered that those who seek after God do not always enjoy a smooth path in life. Psalm 42 is about despair. Yet it is also about deliverance. And it is about hope. David wrote most of the other Psalms in the Bible. Many of them also express his personal struggles, disappointments and troubles. That’s one reason Psalms are so popular. They are honest about our personal needs and challenges. David once faced Goliath, but he also faced many other giants in his life’s pathway. Just like we do, including discouragement and rejection. But Psalm 42 also offers a pathway to hope.
