FRANCES “FRAN” YOUNG


Fran was born April 20, 1936 in St. Joseph, Michigan. She grew up in the Stevensville area with her three siblings. Fran worked for VM in her adult years for a short period of time. She loved filling her time knitting, shopping, golfing and playing bingo. As much as Fran loved Michigan she also very much enjoyed spending her winters in Florida.

Fran leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory including: her husband of 45 years Don Young; two step-children, Kimberly Young (Paul Elenbaas) and Jeff (Rhonda) Young; two grandchildren, Travis Schultz and Tessa Young; a great-granddaughter Kelsey; two sisters, Joanne (Larry) Reifschneider and Dolores “Dodie” Brunke; a nephew Mike (Jackie) Myers; two nieces, Susie (Derrick) Miller and Emelee (Brian) Rajzer; great nieces and nephews Henry, Adeline, Brandon, and Logan; and her beloved cat Smokey.

Fran died Saturday, July 30, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Bender; two step-daughters, Lori Schultz-Colman and Suzanne Young; a great nephew Gabrielle; her mom Anna (Adolph) Falak, her dad Max Myers, and her brother Robert Myers.

Friends may visit with Fran’s family Thursday, Aug. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.

RICHARD “RICH” D. BURESH


Rich’s life began Nov. 14, 1945 in Brookfield, Illinois. His family was long time residents of Brookfield.

Rich’s dad started Buresh’s Lobster House in Brookfield in 1949 and ran it until Rich took over in 1982. Rich loved running the restaurant for the next several years, retiring in 2000.

He was very active in the community of Brookfield through various clubs and organizations including Brookfield LA Grange Park Lions Club, West Suburban Sertoma Club, Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, and Brookfield Liquor Dealers Association. During his years of service he earned many awards and held leadership positions such as Lions Club Melvin Jones Award, Sertoma Club Man of the Year, Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year, and Past President of Brookfield Liquor Dealers Association.

Rich was proudly a lifelong Chicago White Sox and Chicago Blackhawks fan. After retiring from the restaurant Rich and Sue traveled and purchased a home in Coloma. Rich loved Paw Paw Lake and they made it their permanent residence just a few years ago.

Rich will be remembered for his love of people and his culinary skills. He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years Sue (Battle) Buresh, two sisters-in-law Carole Buresh and Evelyn Buresh, a large extended family, and a host of friends.

Rich died Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Spectrum Heath Lakeland in St. Joseph.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Helen Buresh and two brothers, James Buresh and Allen Buresh.

SARA MUSKE


Sara’s life began March 20, 1987, in St. Joseph, Michigan. She was a lifetime Watervliet resident and loved art both painting and coloring. Her greatest love was caring for her daughters Riley-Lynn and Aubrey.

Sara will be greatly missed by her loving family which includes: her daughters Riley-Lynn, Aubrey Menkhaus and their father Chad; her parents Michael and Lori (Green) Muske; two sisters Jayme (Jerin) DeHaven and Melissa Thames; nieces Hailey Thames and Ashley Thames; her nephew Aiden Kenreich; and three sets of grandparents, Joan (Frank Megna) Muske, Michael (Leslie) Muske Sr., and Richard (Beth) Green; brothers-in-love Taylor and Andrew Scott.

Sara died Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.

She is preceded in death by a grandma Susan Perkey, a grandpa Wayne Perkey, and her mother-in-love Dawn Scott.

DANIEL C. EDMONDS


Daniel “Dan” C. Edmonds, 53 of Hartford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

Dan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, attending car shows and races, camping, cookouts, and traveling with family.

Dan is survived by his sons, Kody (Alyssa) Edmonds and Jesse Edmonds; granddaughter Paisley Jean; his loving partner, Susan Johnson; stepchildren, Anthony (Maggie) Johnson and Brittney (Cameron) Johnson; brothers, Dave (Michelle) Edmonds and Tim Edmonds; his loving mother, Jeanne Stanley and stepfather, Danny Day; nieces, Cortney, Brooke, Brianna, and Jennifer, and great nieces and nephews, Enzo, Milo, Evelyn, Lilanna, James and Isaiah; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends. Dan will be greatly missed by everyone.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, David Edmonds Sr., step-dad Dale Stanley, grandmother Elenor Kibler, his siblings, Jennifer Louise and James Edmonds.

Purely Cremations is assisting the family with cremation. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 6 at Flaherty Park in Watervliet at 3 p.m.
