GLORIA L. YORE

Gloria Lynn (Dunning) Yore passed peacefully in her sleep to go be with her savior, our Lord Jesus Christ on Feb. 9, 2023, leaving to cherish her life, her husband of 55 years, Patrick Eugene Yore.

Gloria is a lifetime area resident and member of the Coloma High School class 1962. She worked for PAK-IT and many years at Modern Plastics. That is where she met the love of her life Patrick. They enjoyed 55 years of raising children, enjoying grandchildren, and serving their community.

If you walked into Midway Baptist Church in Watervliet it was not hard to find Gloria, if she wasn’t greeting you then she was feeding you in the kitchen. Gloria enjoyed her community from going to the Band Shell in St. Joseph, to attending the Glad Peach Festival, to visiting people in nursing homes. She led a life of service and enjoyed doing for others. Above everything Gloria’s favorite times were spent with family, either attending children and grandchildren’s events or cooking and baking for them. Her beloved community knows The Friendly’s fish night won’t be the same without her.

Gloria leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory including her husband, Patrick Eugene Yore; her children, Scott Yore Sr., Sandra Yore, Kimberly Bartee & Tim Bartee; grandchildren, Dustin, Jonathon, Timothy Jr., Scott Jr., Madison, Sean, Sydney; great-grandchildren, AaLeeah, Gracie, Kaylee, Kayden, Jenna, Hollee, Maisie, Harper, Scarlett, Bailey, Oliver, Saige, Gideon; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, Shawn Yore, her mother, Helen Dunning, her father, Virgil Dunning, her sister Maureen Dunning, and her parents-in-law, Arthur and Florence Yore.

Funeral services were celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Midway Baptist Church. Burial followed in Watervliet Cemetery.
