GRACE A. DUFFIELD

Grace Ann Duffield, 86, of Coloma, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 20 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with burial following in Coloma Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of plants, memorial donations in Grace’s memory may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, of which she was a member, or Watervliet Hospital Auxiliary. Those wishing to leave an online message for the family may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.

Grace was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Watervliet to Van and Olga (Nielsen) Storick. She worked for F & M Bank, where she was promoted to the Trust Department Operations Officer. She continued working through many mergers, receiving the Commendation of Service Excellence Award from Bank One and eventually retired from Chase Bank. While her kids were growing up, she enjoyed going to horse shows and always looked forward to fair week. Following retirement, Grace worked part time for Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home and carried several volunteer roles including the Watervliet Hospital Auxiliary.

Grace married her high school sweetheart, Keith, on Feb. 14, 1960, at Salem Lutheran Church and together they built a loving home on Paw Paw Lake. She and Keith traveled all over the United States with their fifth wheel, following travel softball teams and vacationing, with Branson, Missouri being a favorite. Grace never missed an opportunity to be in the stands cheering at every school and sporting event. Her last ball game was on Mother’s Day, witnessing her grandson hit a homerun. When she wasn’t in the stands or at sporting events, she loved reading, word search puzzles, going to the casino with friends and baking pies.

Supportive doesn’t begin to describe the kind of wife, mom and grandma that Grace was. She always knew exactly what advice to give, sending flowers to her family for all of life’s special moments, and continuously saying “everything happens for a reason”. She will be deeply missed and loved by all who knew her.

Grace is survived by her children Bryan (Tara) Duffield, Allison (Rob) Harper and Jeffry (Donna) Duffield; grandchildren Kendyl (Nate) Adams, Madyson (Matt) Voit and Parker Duffield; two great-grandchildren Everly and Kayde Adams and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband Keith in 2024.
