An original resident of Shepard Place has passed away. Per Harold’s request no service is being planned.
Harold graduated from Hartford High School in 1959. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force, Security Service. After his military discharge Harold joined many of his relatives at the Watervliet Paper Mill. He was employed at the Mill for 38 years. He toiled those long hard hours. This allowed him to send his children to Michigan State University. Go Green! He served as a Union President, a Watervliet City Commissioner, and active board member of North School P.T.O. Upon the Mill’s closure Harold worked at Whirlpool Corporation for 12 years.
Now retired (and he was tired) he and his feline companion Morris sat down and watched non-stop news shows. Harold has been cremated and his ashes were blended with Morris’s. They are best Buddies for eternity.
Harold was preceded in passing by his parents, Mildred and Elmer DeMay.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna; his daughters, Dana Miller and Andrea Gaul; silly grandsons, Andrew, Cole and Camden; and his beautiful granddaughter, Reagan Miller. May He Rest In Peace.
