Hartford City Council hires a new planning service, gets ready for a bond, all in anticipation of growth in 2025

At the Monday, Dec. 16, 2024 Hartford City Commissioner’s business meeting, Interim Police Chief Phil Lucas gave the Hartford Police Department report. Lucas announced that he and Officer Poole met with Lt. Dale Hinz of the Michigan State Police in reference to firearms that they have in the evidence room. The department is working on the next step to either return the weapons to the owners or have them destroyed. This will be a time consuming process, as HPD will be working with the Prosecutor’s Office to ensure the cases involving the firearms have been adjudicated.
