Hartford Police Department receives its best audit in decades “This was the best audit we have ever had at Hartford PD!”

The city of Hartford held its monthly business meeting on Monday, Jan. 26. The Mayor Pro-Tempore, John Miller, was the only absence. The meeting promptly opened at the new start time of 6:00 p.m.

After adding one item to the agenda, Mayor Jane Danger continued the meeting.

Hartford Chief of Police, Brian Matthews was present and reported that in December he completed the yearly department certification through the State of Michigan. This is a formal recognition that a department meets a set of professional standards. The certification ensures the police powers through the year of 2026.
