Hartford Township debates opting into county’s ORV ordinance; Road Commission presents millage proposal information and updates ahead of Aug. 6 Election

The Hartford Township Board of Commissioners were split about whether or not the township should opt in or out of Van Buren County’s upcoming off-road vehicle (ORV) ordinance during a regular township meeting on May 9, 2024. The discussion occurred ahead of the Van Buren County Commission’s request to have a final decision from surrounding counties to opt into the ordinance partially or opt out entirely by May 31.
