Helen M. Morlock, 99, formerly of Coloma, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 25 at Duffield & Pastrick Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Born on Sept. 26, 1926, in Buchanan, Michigan, to Lysle and Dorothy Hanover, Helen’s remarkable life spanned nearly a full century, marked by dedication to her family, her career, and her community.
Helen grew up in Buchanan, where she completed her high school education with pride. She carried this foundation into a life filled with commitment and service. After her marriage to Robert F. Morlock, they built a family rooted in love and togetherness, setting a steadfast example for those who knew them.
Helen dedicated over two decades of her professional life to Coloma High School, where she worked as a secretary for 20 years before retiring in 1987. Her diligence, kindness, and unwavering sense of responsibility left a lasting impression on colleagues and students alike. Throughout her career, Helen was known for her welcoming presence and her commitment to supporting the daily workings of the school community.
Family was always at the heart of Helen’s world. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Jeanne (Tom) King of Olivet, Michigan; granddaughters Tammy (Sam) Mannino of North Carolina and Kristina Sharpe of Florida; great-grandchildren Tony, Jason, and Brian Mannino and Chelsea Pilkenton; two great-great-granddaughters and three great-great-grandsons.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Morlock, her son James Morlock, and her brother Lester Hanover.
Helen’s life was defined by her steady presence, enduring values, and the warmth she shared with all who knew her. As she is laid to rest, her family and friends remember not only the years she lived but the wisdom, compassion, and unfailing support she offered throughout her journey.
