Whenever conflict arises in the Middle East, especially when Israel is caught in the turmoil, many Christian minds think of the end. This is not surprising. The Left Behind series of books portrayed the beginning of the end with an all-out attack on Israel. And interpreters of the prophecies of Daniel will point to their fulfillment by conflict. With the current war involving Iran, some have asked whether these events fulfill biblical prophecy. On matters such as these, it is important to speak carefully.
