JACALYN L. MITCHELL

 Jacalyn (Jackie) Lee Mitchell, 89, went home to be with her husband and Heavenly Father April 29, 2025, at her son’s winter residence in Winter Haven, FL.

 Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12 at United Methodist Church in Riverside. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Memorials can be made to the Church.

 Jackie was born Sept. 29, 1935, in Benton Harbor, MI to Earl and Bearnice (Crossman) Brant of Spinks Corners, MI. Jackie and Danny Mitchell were married June 24, 1956, the couple soon after moved to Coloma where they raised their two children.

 Jackie worked as an Executive Assistant at the Watervliet Paper Mill for many years; after its closure, she worked at Monty Packaging in Riverside until she retired. Jackie was a longstanding member of United Methodist Church and enjoyed participating in the choir. She was an avid reader, sewist of clothes and quilts and enjoyed many other crafts including basket weaving. She also enjoyed many years at her lake house swimming, boating, entertaining and flower gardening.

 Jackie is survived by a son Jim (Tina) Mitchell of Coloma; son-in-law Ed Maloney of Coloma; grandchildren: Mallory (Dane) Rasmussen, Eddie (Annie) Maloney, Jamos (Emily) Mitchell, Jeret (Jennifer) Mitchell, Javin (Stephanie) Mitchell, Justyc (Joseph) Newnum; great-grandchildren: Harper, Talvis, Abner, Evelyn Clayburn, Jason, Nolan, Penelope, Justin James, Nora James, Isaac and Natalie; her sister Deanie (Delbert) of Eau Claire and many nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Danny in 2020; her daughter Cindy Maloney; a son-in-law Joe Golas; two sisters Phyllis Brant and Barb Mitchell.
