JAMES HAROLDLECHENET Jr.

JAMES HAROLD LECHENET Jr.

On March 14, we lost a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, a brother and a friend to many. At 2:45 a.m. he cast his last line and reeled in the biggest catch, heaven, while surrounded by his family.

He left behind his wife of 60 years, Edith Clem; four sons, Randall and Mary of Coloma, Tim and Nancy of St. Joseph, Terry of Watervliet and Brian of Hartford; grandchildren, Amanda, Sam, Mikayla, Camden and Bethany; step-grandchildren, Lindsay and Trevor; many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald of Tucson AZ and Michael of Harlingen TX.

Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Edith; siblings, Jim, Linda, Regina, Robert and Marie.

He worked many years at Superior Steel in Benton Harbor, ASAE in St. Joseph, Hartford Twp. and Covert Twp. When not coaching baseball, fishing, hunting and always tinkering in the garage he enjoyed spending time at home with Edith and his dogs.

We will miss and honor him in our memories every day. Rest in peace. We will miss you.

A celebration of life will be held April 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Crystal Springs Church of God, Benton Harbor. Memorials may be made in his memory to Crystal Springs Church of God or Caring Circle Hospice.

If you would like to leave a message of comfort for the family please do so at www.purelycremations.org.
