Jeffrey M. Charleston, 60, of Watervliet died at Lakeland Spectrum Hospital in Watervliet on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
Services celebrating his life will be held at noon on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 11 a.m. Please share memories or messages at www.florin.net.
Jeff was born on May 26, 1961, in St. Joseph to Jack and Esther Charleston. He married his wife, Beverly, in 1980 and together they celebrated 42 years of marriage.
Jeff was a Mason Journeyman for laying bricks with the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local 2-MI. He laid bricks all over Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana. Jeff was well respected in his field. He enjoyed restoring old cars and hot rods as a hobby. Jeff was current working on a 1941 Plymouth. He also would do anything for any of his buddies. Jeff was a loving and compassionate person and especially close to his grandchildren.
His family includes his wife, Beverly; his children, Jeffrey R. Charleston of Watervliet and Melissa (Danny) Henley of Watervliet; his brother, Jack (Vanessa) Charleston of Grand Rapids; his sisters, Jill (Richard) Murphy of Stevensville, and Bonnie Rimpel of Stevensville and his four grandchildren, Destiny, Cassidy, Brayden and Ashlynn.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Esther Charleston, and his brother-in-law Richard Rimpel.
