JERRY D. ROBINSON JR.


Jerry Dale Robinson Jr. of Otsego (formerly of Coloma), passed away March 28, 2024, at Borgess Pipp Hospital in Plainwell, after a 3-year struggle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly; children, Rebecca and Kai; parents, Jerry and Sandra Robinson; brother, Jason (Mary) Robinson; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins and his dog, Jarvis.

Jerry was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and teacher. He taught high school government and digital media at Thornapple Kellogg High School in Middleville, MI, for 29 years. There he mentored and educated many former and present students. He was respected by all. Jerry was very involved in sports, coaching his children in softball. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, watching marvel movies and playing Saturday night poker with his buddies. He was a member of the Otsego Public Schools Board of Education.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may visit with Jerry’s family starting at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Lance Laker officiating. Those attending are encouraged to dress casually in your favorite sports team or Marvel attire. Burial of ashes will take place at Mountain Home Cemetery at a later time. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jerry may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX or the Sarcoma Foundation of America.
