JIMMIE FAYE ROUSE

Our beloved mother, Jimmie Faye Rouse, died on June 3, 2025, after a long battle with dementia. She was 83.

Faye was the heart of our home and family. She gave birth to five children, Donna Fay Rouse (deceased), Theresa Collen Lake (David, deceased), Donald James Rouse (Wanda), Shawnn Douglas Rouse (Dawn) and Christopher Lynn Rouse. Faye raised her children in a happy and loving home across the United States as her late husband served in the Air Force for 27 years. She raised her children to be independent and thoughtful adults. Faye was married for 60 years to her soulmate, Donald James Rouse, who precedes her in death.

As a grandmother to eight grandchildren, Samantha, Anastacio (Hope), Allysa (Micheal), Kyle, Brandon, Ashley, Nicole, Natalie, Jimi (Candace) and Andy, she was a grandma they all could depend on. Faye also had four great-grandchildren, Bryce, Lexi, Azren and Heaton; sister-in-law Dee, brother-in-law Doug and many nieces and nephews.

Faye was known for her giving heart. She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed. At Faye’s request, there will be no services, but her and Don’s final request was that their ashes be buried with their eldest daughter who died at birth and is buried in Mississippi. Hutchins Funeral Home is assisting Faye’s family with arrangements and you are invited to leave a message of comfort for Faye’s family at hutchinsfuneral.com.
