John Lawrence King, 84, of Carsonville, Michigan, passed away on April 10, 2025, at The Villages Hospice House in Sumter County, Florida, surrounded by his loving family.
John was born on Nov. 24, 1940, in Chicago, IL, the son of John and June King.
John graduated from Coloma High School in 1958, and then joined the United Stated Navy in 1959, where he served until honorably discharged in 1961.
John earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture at Western Michigan University, and started his career as an agricultural inspector. He retired in 2001 from the Department of Homeland Security as a Border Control Agent.
John was an avid golfer and a successful antiques dealer.
Remaining to cherish John’s memory are his significant other, Joan Adams, and brother, Bruce (Kathy) King.
John was preceded in death by his first spouse, Terry King; parents, John and June King; brother, Tom King; and sister, Maureen King.
A private burial will be held at the Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
