Luis’ life began June 21, 1959, in Mexico. He relocated to Michigan with his family for work. He enjoyed cooking, dancing, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Luis was a loving family man.

He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory including: his wife Maria Linares; five children, Maria Linares, Jose Linares, Laura Linares, Adrian Linares, and Alexander Linares; four grandchildren, Ariel Acevedo, Aaron Linares, Xander Alejandre, and Noah Alejandre; five siblings, Antonio, Candido, Lupe, Roberta, and Juana; and many nieces and nephews.

Luis died Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leopoldo and Rosa Linares and three siblings, Alfredo, Isabel, and Elena.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 5, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Church in Hartford. Burial followed in Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Watervliet. You are invited to leave a message of comfort for Luis’ family at
