JOSEPH MARK WILLIAMS



Joe was born Jan. 9, 1945, to Fred and Florence Williams. He was one of 16 children. Joe made his living building houses and he was a pastor. Joe never met a stranger and if you talked to him very long he would pray for you and ask you if you knew Jesus as your Savior. He never ran out of words.

Joe is survived by three children, Joseph Williams Jr., David (Chrissy) Williams, and Frances (Michael) Kelly all of Watervliet; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother Sam (Pat) Williams; four sisters, Francis Davis, June Hutchinson Joseph, Rosie Hoffenkamp, and Marie (Robert) Wade; and many nieces and nephews.

Joe died Friday, Oct. 7, at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Esther Caldwell and Jeannie Ann Williams, and seven brothers, Fred, David, James, John, Danny, Tim, and Artie.

Funeral services were celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Hutchins Funeral Home. Burial followed in Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Watervliet. Memorials may be made in Joe’s name to New Life Christian Center. Everyone is invited to leave a message of comfort for Joe’s family at hutchinsfuneral.com.
