RIP O.K.B… Ken Bannen, long-time Watervliet educator and friend passed away last week, surrounded by his family. Ken along with his wife, Beautiful Bonnie became friends with us soon after we moved to Watervliet in 1984. Ken was a big benefactor at Watervliet Schools, in the classrooms, on the sports arena, and as an administrator. He never forgot a face and greeted all with a huge smile. Following a stroke, he continued as a friend for all. For many, Ken Bannon was known as KB. Those who know me as Karl Bayer also call me KB. Those that knew us both by the sobriquet KB, added OKB for Ken.
