YOU’RE NOT A DINGBAT… When Archie Bunker would close a harangue targeting his long-suffering wife Edith, he would call her a dingbat. Since the show “Those were the Days” was written and broadcast in the 70s, there’s a better chance you might recognize the term dingbat.
