KENNETH L. BRILEY Jr.

Kenneth Lee Briley Jr. passed away on April 7, 2023, unexpectedly. He was born on Aug. 27, 1975 to Vicki (Pepple) and Kenneth Briley Sr. He met his wife, Sarah, at the marathon station in Hartford on June 18, 1999. Thanks to Michelle Mattimore, he married her on Aug. 23, 2002. They welcomed their first child, Kendra on Nov. 16, 2004. On May 27, 2008, Kaleb was born to complete their family.

Kenny drove school bus for Hartford Public Schools for the past eight years. He loved the students he got to work with and was the “unofficial” band bus driver. He served for many years as a firefighter, working at Watervliet, Keeler, and Hartford.

He had a quirky sense of humor. If he picked on you it meant he cared for you. He loved building model cars and had started 3D printing. He loved spending time with his family. He was very proud of them. He would help anyone who needed something.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Briley; his two children, Kendra and Kaleb; his sisters, Kimberly (Alan) Briley and Brandy Anglin; his brothers, Richie Briley and Daniel (Deby) Briley; mothers-in-law, Gaytha Keech and Cynde Harmon; fathers-in-law, Matthew Keech and Charles Harmon; sisters-in-law, Aimee Carnell and Courtney (Jason) Woodley; brothers-in-law, Jason Carnell and Christopher Harmon; and many nephews and nieces; cousins; aunts and uncles; and many close friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister-in-law, Kathy Briley.

Visitation will be held at Full Gospel Assembly on Thursday, April 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on April 14 at FGA. The address is 55921 CR 681, Hartford, MI. Calvin Funeral Home has been trusted with the arrangements.
