KENNETH L. KRAUEL

Kenneth Lawrence Krauel, 83, of Benton Harbor, was born to Ruth (Stewart) and Arlie Krauel on March 18, 1939, passed away at home on May 23, 2022.

He graduated from Benton Harbor High School and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for thirty years at the Benton Harbor post office.

In earlier years, Ken enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motor cycles and sharing his life with numerous dogs, especially his golden retrievers, Abby and Buffy.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Helen Fricke and Marion Krauel, brother Louis Krauel as well as nephew Dennis Fricke and brother-in-law Doug Fricke.

He is survived by his nieces Cindy Fricke (Greg Hansmeier) and Hope Lower and a nephew Louis Krauel.

Those who knew Ken knew a kind and generous man who was a great uncle.

At Ken’s request, there will be no services. His ashes will be laid to rest on the family plot in Millburg Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the North Berrien Senior Center, 6648 Ryno Road, Coloma, MI 49038.
