Kenneth Leonard Lindemann (“two N’s, no R”), 63, passed away on June 22, 2023, at his home in Watervliet.
He was born on July 1, 1959, the son of the late Wanda and Donald Lindemann.
Ken was a 1978 graduate of Watervliet High School where after graduation he served in the U.S. Navy during the Iran hostage crisis aboard the USS Kilauea (AE-26).
His love for Christmas could be seen either by his elaborately decorated yard, or when he played Santa at Watervliet Public Schools when his daughter was young.
As an avid sports fan, he would watch it all, especially the Cubs! And when he wasn’t watching sports, John Wayne or Disney programs were on the screen.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Burgess), of Watervliet; his daughter and son-in-law, Faith and Will Curtis of Kendallville, IN; his siblings, Linda (Mark) Kraklau, Bill (Joanne) Lindemann, Richard (Lori) Lindemann; as well as a very special mother-in-law, Beverly Burgess, brother-in-law, Tim Burgess (Cecilia Hernandez), many nieces, nephews, and very special friends.
Family and friends are invited Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Flaherty Park in Watervliet, where a service of military honors will be held followed by a luncheon.
In lieu of sending flowers, donations in Ken’s memory can be made to the Caring Circle of St. Joseph, or to the family for final expenses.
