Lawrence Andrew “Andy” Watson, age 43, died at his parent’s farm in Riverside, Michigan surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, July 9, 2022.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Andy’s life will be held 2 p.m. Monday, July 25 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where the family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon up until the time of the service. Andy was born in St. Joseph, MI at Memorial Hospital on Sept. 4, 1978 to Lawrence and Audrey (Clemons) Watson. He graduated from Coloma High School in 1998 where he excelled at football, baseball and wrestling. He attended Olivet College for one year before leaving to be employed at AT&T, where he worked until he retired in 2021.
Andy married his childhood sweetheart Melinda “Mindy” Watson (Petertil) on Oct. 9, 1999. Together they raised four children in Coloma. He had an amazing sense of humor and was happiest spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mindy Watson of Coloma, his son Ryley Watson of Benton Harbor, daughter Emma Watson, son Ian Watson and son Jack Watson, all of Coloma; his parents Lawrence and Audrey Watson of Riverside, brother Allen Rose of Coloma, sister Apryl Watson of Coloma, and brother Aurbery (Shawn) Watson of Mattawan as well as two nieces, five nephews and countless aunts, uncles and cousins.
