This week’s Press Box Player of the Week, James Anthony told that this past year his family lost a loved one, Cathy Bogen. Cathy had Down syndrome and loved to bowl. She was a participant of the Special Olympics Bowling League for many years. James would like to honor her memory by trying to get sponsorships from businesses for the League of Miracles which is holding a bowling fundraiser event at Coloma Lanes on Saturday, March 18 from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.
James is hoping to get some donations that he can raffle off during the event to help with the fundraising efforts as well. Anyone is invited to attend the event and there will be bake sale items, raffles, and face painting. For more information, contact Sandy Burtchett or Cheleste Lemmons. The fee to bowl covers two games and shoe rental.
