M. Susan Dahlquist, 75, of Coloma, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 15, 2022 at her home.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 19 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Funeral services will be held at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford, IL on Friday, Jan. 21 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Stockland, IL. Sue was born Sep. 11, 1946 in Stockland, IL to Chester and June (Storm) Lyon. She worked at the North Berrien Senior Center for over 20 years in administration, followed by becoming the director in 2014. Sue was a member of the Lioness Club, the Red Hats, and several bridge groups. Over all, she was a pillar of the community of Coloma. Sue could also be found never missing a sports game for her grandkids, always cheering as loud as she could from the stands.
Sue is survived by her son John (Christina) Dahlquist of Coloma; grandchildren Angelina Reyna, Lillian Dahlquist, Katelyn Dahlquist and John Dahlquist Jr.; one great-grandson on the way; sister-in-law Carol Ball; nieces and nephews Phil (Julie) Jensen, Terry (Jody) Fanning, Dan (Stacy) Piwani and their families, and best friends Sherry Polashak and Susan Tungate.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Dahlquist, infant daughter Anna Dahlquist, brother John Lyon and grandson Cody Dahlquist.
