MARTHA M. ANTON

Martha M. Anton passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Martha was born to her parents, Gust and Bonnie (Ochampaugh) Anton on March 16, 1956, in Coloma, MI.

On July 4, 2018 Martha married Tony Hegedus who survives along with her father Gust Anton, her daughter Moranda Hegedus, grandchild Jayden Hegedus, three great-grandchildren Aceson Morgan, Adalyn Morgan and Anorah Morgan.

Martha was preceded in death by her mother Bonnie Anton, as well as her sister Barb Anton and dog Freddie.

She was an employee at the Ticket Office of The University of Notre Dame from April 1980 till June 2012. Martha greatly enjoyed collecting nutcrackers, she appreciated the beauty of dragonflies, loved listening to music, she was also a fan of the art of Georgia O’Keefe and strolling through her husband’s garden.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at Elk’s Lodge 235 located at 3535 W. McKinley Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615. Memorial contributions in honor of Martha’s memory may be made to the Center for Hospice and the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
