Mary Louise Fohs, age 93, of Watervliet, died peacefully at home Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021. In accordance with Mary’s wishes cremation will take place. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Watervliet.
Mary was born on March 7, 1928 in Flint, the daughter of Roy and Hilda (Skibbe) Bradley. Mary and Peter Fohs were united in marriage on March 14, 1953 in Paw Paw, Michigan. Mary loved to travel making it to almost all 50 states, including Hawaii and Alaska, Egypt, Israel, and Austria to see the Passion Play. She was an active member of the Altar & Rosary Society.
She is survived by two sons, Peter (Deby) Fohs and John (Joni) Fohs; two daughters, Maria (Jim) Moore and Barbara Aguillard; six grandchildren, Peter III, Adam, and Matthew Fohs, Dana and James Aguillard, and Thomas Moore; four great-grandchildren and one sister, Fiona Martinez of Portland.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Fohs, brother Edwin Bradley and parents. Donations may be sent to the St. Joseph Parish in Watervliet.
