Mike Banic secures Week 7 Armchair QB win, overall lead changes hands
The seventh week of action in the Tri-City Record’s Armchair Quarterback Contest has reached its verdict. As always, we continued the tradition of challenging our ‘superfans’ with daunting gridiron matchups, as our knowledgeable fanatics tried to pick the winners of two high school, four collegiate, and three professional football games appearing on our week seven calendar. We are watching the season fly by, so enjoy those game days while they still exist!
Looking back at last week’s final records, we can report that all six of our accomplished scholars passed their weekly examination of pigskin intellect.
Recapping our weekly games, most of our favorite local teams took the field, but this stretch featured one late cancellation and our first bye week among college and professional teams. If you had a chance to catch any action, you’ll know that fans of the Broncos, Fighting Irish, or the Lions were happy returning to school or work, as they came away victorious. However, a new week is a fresh opportunity to sit in the stands or in front of the television and hope for the best.
