Missing Iowa child safely recovered after traffic stop in Berrien County

A 12-year-old girl from Waterloo, Iowa, who was the subject of an Amber Alert was safely recovered Sunday in the Tri-City area following a traffic stop along Interstate 94. The young girl was reported missing on April 5, 2026, after she was last seen around 12:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Byron Avenue in Waterloo, Iowa.
