Nancy L. Quigley, 87, of Hagar Twp. died Monday, Aug. 30, 2021 at the Spectrum Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Services celebrating her life were held on Saturday, Sept. 4, at the Watervliet Free Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Hall officiating. Burial followed in the Coloma Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Watervliet Free Methodist Church Food Pantry. The arrangements are by the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma.

Nancy was born on Nov. 4, 1933 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Ora and Pauline Hyatte.

Nancy married her husband, Franklin D. Quigley on July 25, 1959 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2011. Together they celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Nancy was a teacher for nearly 30 years, most notably 6th grade at the Grace Christian School Watervliet and later at Immanuel Christian School until her retirement in 1998. Nancy was a member of the Watervliet Free Methodist Church and the North Berrien Senior Center where she enjoyed Tai Chi and art classes. She was an artist in several medias, winning several awards at the Berrien County Youth Fair, and was a treasurer of the Art Guild. Nancy also enjoyed reading. She was known to be a patient caregiver.

Her family includes her son, Wayne Quigley, of Ludington; her sisters, Carol Holdeman of Tucson, AZ, Judy Hyatte-Howie of Osceola, IN, and her grandchildren, Jacob, Alayna, Grant, Ross and Ryan.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Paul, in 2001, sister Meribeth “Susie” Harolson, and a brother, Roy Hyatte.
