NICHOLAS SPENCER GRIFFIN
Nicholas Spencer Griffin passed away in Longmont, Colorado on March 19, 2021, at the age of 34.
Nick was born in Watervliet, Michigan, on June 23, 1986 to Lynn and Ray Griffin. He graduated from Watervliet High School in 2006, and was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church.
After graduating from high school, Nick worked at McDonalds in Coloma, Taco Bell in Watervliet, and Henry’s in Benton Harbor. Nick had a natural prowess in mechanical engineering, which he put to good use working in construction in Florida. Later, in Colorado, he worked in apartment building maintenance.
Nick leaves behind his loving parents, Ray and Lynn Griffin; sisters Heather (Aaron) Endsley, Roberta Griffin, and Victoria (Gary) Holmes; brothers Dennis Griffin and Douglas Griffin; grandparents Judy Hasselbring and Barbara Kroening; aunts and uncles Janet (Clinton) King, Laura (Joe) Bailey, Patricia Shimer, Patricia (Griffin) Edwards, and Dan Shimer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Mary L. and Robert S. Griffin, Eldon W. Kroening, and Ernest R. Hasselbring; aunts Barbara (Griffin) Lumley and Pamela Shimer; and uncles Ken Shimer and Roger Shimer.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the local food kitchen or food bank.
