November 4 election; small ballot with big decisions

With the November 4, 2025 City General/Special Election next Tuesday, voters across Berrien and Van Buren counties will see a patchwork ballot of local races and ballot proposals that could affect everything from commission seats to college funding. This is not a statewide or federal Election Day for Berrien and Van Buren, but a consolidated municipal/special election date that many residents — especially those in city limits or school/college districts — should pay close attention to. For many voters in the Tri-City area, the choices on Nov. 4 will be the most consequential local decisions of the year.
