Oneida Cobb, 82, of Benton Township died quietly with her family on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Hanson Hospice Center in Lincoln Township.
Family services will be held at a later date and cremation has taken place. Memorials can be made to the Berrien County Animal Control. Arrangements are by the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Township. Please share messages or memories at www.florin.net.
Oneida was born on Nov. 10, 1939, in Buchanan, TN to Elijah and Leslie Moody. She married her husband, David A. Cobb, in 1973 and together they celebrated 44 years of marriage before his death on Friday, May 11, 2018.
Oneida was employed at Modern Plastics for 35 years before her retirement in 2000. She loved gardening and helping her husband keep their lawn in tip top shape. Oneida enjoyed listening to Country Music, going to yard sales and watching her Soap Operas on TV. Both Oneida and her husband helped raise their cherished granddaughter, Ashley, from a small child.
The family would like to thank her neighbors, Sheila, Cheri and Paul for their help in caring for her. Oneida was a feisty and determined individual who loved her family and her beloved cat “Lucky” very much.
Her family includes her son, Jeff (Barbara) Weber of Coloma and Jeff and Barbara’s puppies Charles and Diana; her granddaughter, Ashley Weber, of South Bend; Ashley’s significant other Luis Lorenzo, his children, Sophia, Esteban and Antonio and their puppy Remington; her sisters, Martha Landrum and Elnora Adkins and her many loved nieces and nephews.
Oneida was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earl, Nathan, Ronald, James and LeRoy; and sisters, Wilma, Elna, Gearldyne, Velma, Helen and Anne.
