PAUL PRADON


Paul Pradon was born April 20, 1937, in Chicago Illinois, and passed away in the arms of his beloved wife, Donna on Jan. 4, 2022.

Paul spent his early life in Chicago until he was eleven when the family moved to Michigan. He spent three years serving in the United States Army where he met Donna Marie Lenz on July 4, 1961, who was vacationing with her family, and were soon married on Nov. 11, 1961. They have resided in Michigan together since.

For many years he worked in the Harding’s meat department in Stevensville and later took over meat manager in Hartford until his retirement. Paul loved golf until an injury caused him to cease playing. He had a special interest in fishing. He often spent Saturday’s out on the lake with his dear friend Kevin Reed. He adored sharing his love for fishing with his friends and family and teaching them how to enjoy the sport.

There was a special place in Paul’s heart for high school football. Paul and his special friend Tim Hildebrand spent many Friday nights cheering on the Hartford Indians. Together, Paul and Donna loved to travel, taking many trips to Florida with their children and grandchildren. In addition to their many trips to the sunshine state, Paul and Donna loved visiting Aruba and Las Vegas. Paul had a great sense of humor making every day an adventure with laughter.

With Donna, Paul raised three daughters whom he is survived by: Cynthia (Robbie), Paula (Greg), and Tanya (Al). Paul is also survived by eight grandchildren: Taylor, Grace, Nick, Derek, Jennifer, Matthew, Katherine, and Addison. He also has eight great-grandchildren: Eleanora, Samuel, Aurora, Connor, George, Charlotte, Lukas, and Marshall, all of whom dearly loved their “Poppy”.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Sergey Pradon; his three brothers: John, George, and Donald; and five sisters: Olga, Eleanor, Mary, Josie, and Ann.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Parish on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at 11 a.m.

Memorial donations in Paul’s name may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements. Those wishing to leave condolences for the family may do so at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
