Paying down debt is a top priority

As has been the case throughout my time in the legislature, one of my top priorities every time we begin to work on a budget is to ensure that it is balanced and pays down Michigan’s long-term debt. With appropriations committees meeting and negotiations in full swing, we must keep this important priority in mind.
