Phil was born the youngest child of Anthony “Tony” and Vivian Forestieri on Aug. 30, 1960 in South Haven. Part of his youth was spent in South Haven until his mother and father purchased the A & W restaurant in Coloma. In 1963, Phil’s childhood was spent much like most kids except for the fact that he spent a great deal of his time hanging around that restaurant until he was old enough to begin working there for his parents. His outgoing personality allowed him to make many lifelong friends, while there. He also found his lifelong passion of being a chef, which he continued to pursue for the rest of his working life. It was during this pursuit, that he met the love of his life, Barb Ferguson in 1987. They were united in holy matrimony in 1988, had their son Nicholas in 1989 and began their lives together.

Phil enjoyed playing softball with his friends, golfing, playing harmonica which he often blew with live bands at local establishments, and watching his beloved Cubs. He loved activities that brought him in contact with as many people as possible. Phil was an outgoing man who enjoyed the company of others and showed his affections openly. He will be sorely missed by those who were closest to him but also by all of the people whose lives he touched.

Phil is survived by his loving wife Barb, his son Nicholas, his father Anthony “Tony, his brother Vince (Joanie) Forestieri, his sister Tesi (Kevin) Jennings and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Vivian.
