One thing about being a volunteer is it’s a labor of love. These individuals give up their hard-earned energy and time, for jobs that only pay with praise and not money. It’s a year-long commitment that takes poise and valiant effort, to watch the fruits succeed. For those reasons, the Record is using this column to commend the Hartford Council for Recreation Sports Leagues, for what they do to ensure their community has successful youth sports programs.
