Press Box Player of the Week: Taliyah Mendoza
Hartford High School senior Taliyah Mendoza has been named Press Box Player of the Week for Sept. 10, 2026, following an impressive performance on the volleyball court.
Playing opposite hitter, Taliyah made her presence felt throughout Saturday’s competition in Lawton on August 22, finishing with eight kills, 19 digs, two aces, and two assists. Her consistent effort and determination helped make for a standout day.
“Taliyah had an outstanding day on Saturday in Lawton,” said her coach. “She worked hard from start to finish and was determined to make sure every ball went over the net. Her leadership, determination, and never-give-up attitude were evident all day long.”
