Protecting taxpayers from child care fraud

 Earlier this month, I called for a formal independent audit of Michigan’s Child Development and Care Program. Recently, Deputy Auditor General Laura J. Hirst confirmed the Office of the Auditor General will begin its investigation in March. This is welcome news for Michigan taxpayers, legitimate child care providers, and families struggling to find affordable care throughout our state.
