Regenia Mae Richmond, 75, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
Services celebrating Regenia’s life was held on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service. Burial followed at Crystal Springs Cemetery. Anyone wishing to share messages or memories can do so at www.florin.net.
Regenia was born on June 28, 1948 to Edna Hicks Williams and Fred Davis. She grew up in Benton Harbor and graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Home of the TIGER. She accepted Christ at an early age at the Ebeneezer Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Walter Brown. She had various jobs around the community, including Michigan Fruit Cannery, Pete Palmers grocery store, Nurse Assistant for Lakeland Health Care, and later retiring from Spectrum Health as a caregiver.
Regenia was a very loving and kind person, who showed love to everyone she met. Her favorite pastimes were listening to music, reading, cooking, playing cards, and spending time with her family. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her many grandchildren.
Regenia leaves to cherish her loving memories: Her husband of 50 years Bobby Richmond; her mother Edna Hick Williams; three daughters, Sherri (Charles) Bennett of Benton Harbor, Sheletha (Freddie) Burnett of Little Rock, Arkansas, Latonya (Bryson) Rucker of Jacksonville, Arkansas; stepdaughter Christie McClaster of Detroit; and sons, Darwin (Lenora) White of Lansing, Darian (Jessica) White of Orlando, Florida, her bonus son Myron Stubbs; four stepsons, Bobby Richmond Jr., James (Tonya) Richmond, Odis Richmond (all of Osceola, Arkansas), Gabriel Haynes of Ypsilanti; and her four sisters, Sandra White of Benton Harbor, Ella Franklin of St. Joseph, Darlene White of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Paula Davis of South Bend; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
Regenia is preceded by her father Fred Davis, her daughter Love Forever Richmond, her sister Valerie Tripplett, brothers Willie White and Kevin Davis, grandson Darwin White Jr., and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Sleep on Regenia, take your rest. We love you but God loves you best. We will miss you.
