Relief for disaster stricken Michiganders

Earlier this winter, Northern Michigan was devastated by an ice storm that left thousands of families and businesses with power outages, severe damage to property and infrastructure, and major economic hardships. In the wake of the storm, House Republicans put forth a disaster relief package and the federal government approved Michigan’s request for a federal disaster declaration. I am calling on my Democrat colleagues in the Senate to quickly move this legislation forward to provide vital relief for our neighbors in Northern Michigan.
