RICHARD RICKERS


Richard “Rick” Rickers, 65, of Bangor, passed away on Jan. 24, 2023.

Rick is survived by his beloved mother, Donna Rickers of Coloma; brothers: Gene (Denise) DeMorrow of St. Joseph, Michael Rickers of Hartford, and Ron (Maurenna) Rickers of Hastings, MI; sisters: Pamela LaVanway of Benton Harbor and Charlotte (Tim) Hunt of Franklin, IN; son, Richard Rickers Jr.; grandchildren: Richard “Duckey” Rickers and Ariel Rickers; and other children he loved and helped raise: Jeremy, Alisha, Ryerson and Caleb; five additional grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He also leaves behind his loving companion of five years, Helen “Baby” Jones; and his little fishing and hunting buddy, J.J. Rickers.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard Rickers on Dec. 6, 1976 and his brother, Dennis Rickers on Oct. 19, 2016.

He loved spending time outdoors and had a great love of fishing and hunting. Rick was always trying to make people happy.

Rick was employed at Stokes Blueberry Farms.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or New Apostolic Church in Watervliet.

Services for Rick will be at noon on Saturday, Feb. 18, at New Apostolic Church, 7521 Paw Paw Ave., Watervliet. Friends may visit with the family at 11 a.m. until the time of service.
